Rosato

Salmon pink color. Ample aromas with hints of cherry, raspberry and citrus that combine with fine floral notes. Of medium structure, it is soft, fresh and finely savory.

Excellent as an aperitif and perfect with pizza, it is definitely versatile in combinations at the table. It goes well with both white meats and fish, but it is unsurpassed with the Abruzzo fish “brodetto”, tripe, fresh cheeses and grilled vegetables.

GRAPES
A selection of native red grape varieties.

PRODUCTION AREA
In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

TERRAIN
Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

SELLING PERIOD
January/February, the year after harvest.

VINIFICATION AND REFINEMENT
Short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.

SENSORY CHARACTERISTICS
Salmon pink colour. Rich and elegant aroma with hints of cherry, raspberry and citrus fruits that blend together to fine floral notes. It is mid structured, soft, fresh and delicately savoury. Serve fresh at 10-12°C.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS
Cold cuts, pizza, fish and vegetable soups, white meat and soft cheeses. Excellent as an aperitif.
