GRAPES
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.

PRODUCTION AREA
In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

TERRAIN
Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

SELLING PERIOD
Not earlier than 24 months after date of vinification.

VINIFICATION AND REFINEMENT
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, long maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature. 12-month aging in stainless steel tanks and 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
