Chardonnay

Pale yellow with bright, greenish hues. Distinct nose of exotic fruit, banana, citrus fruits and delicate hints of yellow flowers. Fresh, soft and pleasant. Medium body with good persistence.

Excellent as an aperitif. Excellent with all fish-based cuisine from fish and shellfish starters to seafood risottos; also a good accompaniment to light pasta and rice dishes and delicate meat-based dishes.

Description

GRAPES
Chardonnay.

PRODUCTION AREA
In the heart of the province of Chieti in Abruzzo, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

TERRAIN
Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 metres above sea level, with mostly calcareous clay soil.

SELLING PERIOD
January/February, the year after harvest.

VINIFICATION AND REFINEMENT
Short cold maceration, soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
